Fine Art & wearable pieces
I am inspired by the natural world, especially insects.
Using specimens and photographs my pieces all begin as drawings or paintings. Then using natural fabrics, especially silk, I layer and stitch my work to create beautiful wings of butterflies, moths and other creatures.
Attention to the tiniest detail is very important, stitching on a micro sequin or bead to reflect the light.
These pieces can be enjoyed framed in your home or made at a smaller scale to adorn your clothing.
I am especially proud that my work using the glorious Tana Lawn is for sale at Liberty, London.
Examples of my fine art & wearable embroidery.
Work on display at Liberty in London’s Regent Street.
Lovely to have you at Liberty & thank you for your responsiveness and agility in getting more made up for us. Here’s to another successful year.”
